Catalina - "In All the World, No Trip Like This!"

With the help of the Catalina Island Museum and
numerous collectors, the exhibition at the California
Heritage Museum took the museum
visitor on an imaginary trip to Catalina to view
its romantic past and present-day island life-style
by covering the topics listed above, and many,
many more. During the run of the exhibition,
several tours to Catalina Island were hosted
by historian and author Larry Harris. His book "The
Jewels of Avalon"
provides the reader with an exciting tour of Avalon's
public art and colorful and decorative tiles that
can be found at more than 30 sites.
